Dr. Sasha Yakhkind is a neurointensivist at Tufts Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Tufts University School of Medicine. She is the editor of The Perfect Doctor: Forty Voices on the Imperfect Pursuit of an Ideal (2024, Pager Publications) and a reviewer for several critical care and medical humanities journals. Her other academic interests include global health and intracerebral hemorrhage, and in her free time you can find her outdoors.

Dr. Jeffrey Millstein is an internist, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, writer and educator, and serves as a Regional Medical Director for Penn Primary Care. He is an office-based clinical preceptor for students at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His essays have been published in JAMA, The Journal of Patient Experience, Journal of General Internal Medicine, Intima: A Journal of Narrative Medicine, and Family Medicine. He is also a frequent op-ed contributor to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Dr. Maria Simbra is an award-winning author and journalist and the director and principal at Ironed Words Productions where she supports writers with writing groups, conferences, and virtual support. After careers in neurology and journalism, she's delighted to have a third fulfilling career as an author. She’s a memorist on page and on stage, with words in lit mags and on the storytelling stages of Pittsburgh. She also writes romance as Em S. A’cor, with two of her books hitting the top ten on Amazon in medical romance and medical fiction and winning silver medals in the 2024 BookFest Awards.
